Case Consultation & Career Information

Case Consultation with Working Mental Health Professionals

Michelle is available to consult with other clinicians in an effort to either expand a practice in more a somatic-focused direction or for individual case consulting on specific topics in which Michelle specializes. Michelle’s lens for all cases is one of a trauma-informed, nervous-system lens that focuses on including the body in the therapeutic session including within the consultation session itself.

Topics for consultation include:

  • Working with the clients in the Adoption Triad (adult/child adoptees, relinquishing mothers, adoptive parents)

  • Working with clients experiencing chronic or terminal illness (cancer, autoimmune disorders, chronic pain)

  • Working with sexual assault and sexual abuse survivors with somatic sensitivity

  • Working with military clientele (active duty and their dependents) as a civilian clinician

  • Using yoga in a clinical setting with individuals and groups effectively

  • How to skillfully use the body with yourself and your client in session

Consultation fee is $110 USD per 60 minutes and is typically conducted on Zoom.

Career Information/Inquiries Regarding Building a Practice or Educational Pathways

Michelle has over twenty years of experience working with people's bodies through somatic practices. She has built an intentional career rooted not only in quality study and training but with direct experience in supporting people with trauma, chronic pain, and complex cases. Many years of time and resources have been invested in how she has built her practice today. She receives numerous inquiries about her career path/choices and requests to "pick-her-brain", yet regrettably her time and capacity outside of her client caseload is quite limited.

Inquiring individuals are welcome to reach out to Michelle via email, but please understand that capacity to provide emails in return or schedule meetings may not always be obtainable due to Michelle's caseload.

Additionally, in an effort to provide quality mentorship to serious inquiries, individuals can request a 60-minute career information session with Michelle for a fee of $110USD; provided she has the available openings in her schedule.

PLEASE NOTE:

Inquiries regarding working in Japan, interning in Japan, mental health practices in Japan, or obtaining a Japanese visa to work in the mental health industry will not be addressed; consulting an immigration lawyer is your best pathway.

Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives.
